THE ROLE OF GREEN BUILDINGS IN THE WAR AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE
Unlike Game of Thrones, the Great War is here and it’s not against men but against the drastic changes in our weather. Now we are applying a different strategy – Green Buildings.
Although Africa is seen as the world’s greenest continent as we have a vast number of untouched lands – yeah, that’s because we love to stay in touch with Mother Nature. However, there is an ongoing war against the drastic changes we are currently experiencing globally in terms of climate.
Climate change is increasingly becoming a worrisome topic across the globe, countless numbers of conferences and activities are being held to both enforce national reforms and policies as well as sensitizing the public.
To this end, architects have found their own way to join the battlefield by the implementation of green building. These building reduces the quantity of greenhouse gases (cause of ozone layer depletion) emitted into the air.
African countries like Zambia, Tanzania, and so on have taken major steps to incorporate green buildings into their construction processes. This innovative trend is safe and Eco-friendly. Mother Nature, irrespective of her age can be likened to a young lady, she’ll treat you as good as you treat her, if you pollute her, that’s what you are going to get.
