NIGERIAN PHOTOGRAPHER, LAKIN OGUNBAWO, HAD HIS ART INSTALLED UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF FRENCH RETAILERS, GALERIES LAFAYETTE
First of all, let us meet Lakin Ogunbawo, the multi talented Nigerian born and based photographer first began practicing his art while studying at Law school in the UK. Completely self-taught, he made his way to Paris where he fine-tuned his talent at the Speos Photography Institute. In just four years, Lakin has a portfolio that boasts of several exhibitions and work with some of the brightest African and international talents, his distinct yet unmissable approach to art allows him to create the visually stunning imagery that earned him a top spot on CNN’s profile of “Africa’s Most Exciting New Photographers”.
Lakin Ogunbanwo, is among a group of artists commissioned by French retailer Galeries Lafayette to create work for its flagship store, Boulevard Haussmann, under an exhibition called “Africa Now”. See images from the exhibition which ends on the 10th of June below-
