THE RISE OF THE ORGANIC LIFESTYLE IN AFRICAN COMMUNITIES IS CREATING FAST GROWING ECOSYSTEMS
Whenever I hear the word “diet” only one thing comes to my mind – vegetables. Maybe it is because I am not one of the millions of people who have a dietary plan, because that is obviously the trend. Everyone now has a body goal to achieve and it all starts with the food.
Last week I and the team took some time to conduct a minimal interview with a group of people (all of whom were on different dietary plans as they deem fit to hit the desired body goal) and here’s what we found. Some take up a diet in order to shed some weight, some to stay trim, fit, some others to stay healthy, but most importantly they all said vegetables are an integral part of their diet.
These meal plans translate to adopting a very healthy lifestyle and as a result helps people meet one another. All over Africa there are a number of groups that have been carved out in order for people to meet other people living the same way to spur support and conversations – you know what they say “if you are trying to change the world, you better not be doing it alone”.
These groups have grown into ecosystems that are living and breathing, as such, they grow on a daily basis with many more people picking up dietary plans. I guess it’s high time I join the grass eating community – I also want to lead a long healthy life.
