Now I’m not talking about the content of the bottle, I’m talking about the bottle itself. Have you seen it? It’s all around you. Have you used it? Everyone else is, and if you aren’t, then you either don’t know what’s up or you think it’s too heavy for you to carry around. Everywhere I look, it seems to me like everyone is holding one. Could it be the growing health consciousness amongst Nigerians or the sudden rise of the water therapy trend? –People are drinking a lot of water these days –good thing. I wish I could tell you for certain why this is massively trending but the truth is, it is.

We see people walk into a store solely to pick up a bottle and they carry the bottles to meetings, events, book clubs, study groups, and practically everywhere. Everyone seems to find room in their daily lives to carry their bottles around.

Why are we TINKing about this?

The reason carbonated soft drinks, water, and other fast moving consumer goods delved into the pet bottle market was because they wanted to be part of the day to day activities of their customers by making it easier for them to carry the products around as opposed to the traditional glass bottles.

Now people are craving for something more stylish, something that suits their personality, something seemingly tailor made for the individual. Interestingly, I carry around a portable flask because I want my liquids to keep its temperature for a pretty long time. If its coffee or ginger tea, I need it to stay hot and if its beer, soft drinks or water, I need it to stay cold and many others want same just that they don’t use a flask but a small bottle –plastic, metal, acrylic, glass etc.

So what?

We TINK that brands and businesses who want to play in the liquid substance space could rethink their strategies to create room in the “Bottle it up” frenzy –become an integral part of a customer’s life. What can you tell a customer to persuade him or her to purchase a small bottle with the thought of buying your product to carry it around?

We also TINK that such a life style would improve health among people, as a prerequisite for healthy living is to drink a lot of water daily.

So if you currently do not have and use one, then you are not moving with trend. *sips hot coffee from flask*.

P.s.: never drink from someone else’s bottle, it often times is never water. It may just be something else that’ll leave you in state you’d rather be on a Friday night when hanging out with friends.
