DICTIONARY.COM ADDS 300 NEW WORDS TO ITS DATABASE, WORDS LIKE BITCHFACE, SLAY, DABBING AND MORE

Walking closely behind oxford online dictionary, dictionary.com has added 300 new slangs to their online dictionary. It includes over 300 new words and definitions, reflecting everything from news stories to fashion trends. We’ve also updated several existing Dictionary.com entries.

English is constantly changing and growing. Thanks to the diverse people who speak it and the times they (we) live in, new words enter the language all the time. The dictionary’s job is to reflect and celebrate that that evolution. It’s genuinely exciting to introduce new words as long term parts of the way we speak!

A political and social movement originating among African Americans, emphasizing basic human rights and racial equality for black people and campaigning against various forms of racism.

The proprietary name of a type of bathing suit covering the torso, limbs, and head, worn by women or girls who want to keep their bodies completely covered, especially for religious reasons.
