About TV superhero, Shonda Rhimes

Steady representing the black culture, Shonda Rhimes has produced all our favourite movies and series and if at the end of reading this you did not even know she was the one, shame on you! Just when we thought Grey's Anatomy was the greatest gift to the movie world; Aunty Rhonda went ahead and opened her producer's box to let out- Private practice (a spin-off of Grey's anatomy), Scandal, Off the map, How to get away with murder (my current obsession *sharpens knife*), The catch and Still star-crossed that is set to be released this year.

Prior to being named TIME magazine's 100 People Who Help Shape the World in 2007; after college, Rhonda relocated to San Francisco with an older sibling and worked in advertising at McCann Erickson. She subsequently relocated to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California, to study screenwriting. While at USC she was hired by Debra Martin Chase as an intern. Rhimes credits her early success, in part, to mentors like a prominent African-American producer, who hired her as an intern at Denzel Washington's production company, Mundy Lane Entertainment. Rhimes was ranked at the top of her class and earned the Gary Rosenberg Writing Fellowship; and she obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Say hello to the reigning black queen of hollywood; I love you Viola Davis there's seat at the table for you too.
