A GROUP OF NIGERIAN ENTREPRENEURS, PROFESSIONALS, ARTISTS AND VOLUNTEERS ARE CHANGING NIGERIA ONE CHILD AT A TIME.
SociallyAfrica, founded by Adaora Mbelu, a serial entrepreneur and all round creative is working with a dedicated four-man team to touching lives in Nigeria. In addition to this team, SociallyAfrica works with a team of selfless volunteers using resources which which are sometimes overlooked to cause change in unexpected places. Of their 5 major projects, the Art for a Cause project has been the most the visible, with four successful executions in 2016.
Art for a Cause
There is a social project dedicated to giving public schools some good face lift using art. As little as this may seem, a friendly wall painting affects a child in a huge way; makes him want to come to school, makes him feel proud and excited about school; this may cause a ripple of improved enrollment, all by a simple smear of good paint, good intention and kindness.
Tackling one of man’s major need which is hunger, SociallyAfrica in partnership with Platinum Bakers, Lagos through the 'bake bread project' delivers freshly baked bread to less privileged families around disadvantaged communities in Lagos. With a debut execution on February 14, 2017, the project might see further expansion.
Following the two projects mentioned earlier, the organization has on their schedule three other projects 'Food Drive, Code Africa and Love box' all meant to tackle hunger, education respectively.
SociallyAfrica is receiving the right attention due to commendable branding of projects and excellent execution. Using little to nothing, the organization is running on the fuel of free donations, talent, human resource and human capital in all executions.
Knowing the effect these little moves can have on the future of a young life, the nation and generation, SociallyAfrica is taking on social empowerment from a different angle and we find this refreshing and inspiring.
